Economic headwinds hammering convenience sales, investment and jobs, says ACS

The trade body’s 2025 Local Shop Report, published today, showed the total projected sales this year had fallen 

Tighter consumer spending, rising operating costs, and “fierce competition” from the discounters and supermarkets are putting pressure on convenience stores, according to the ACS.
